Well, I like that it has that ethereal stained glass quality and that kind of effect never comes off well if the colors are too brilliant.

Well, in my experience, even if you are looking at a stained glass window from the inside on the sunniest of days there's still a muted quality to it. I mean, the end result is filtered natural light... In a lot of art I see that tries to replicate the stained glass effect, the artists tend to go too bright/brilliant with the color and it just doesn't capture the mood in the same way. You, on the other hand, whether intentionally or not, have and I think it's wonderful.
